When did you start playing football? How did your interest start?
I started tackle football my fifth year after moving back from Milwaukee. I’ve always had an interest for football because of my dad who played at Iowa.
What motivates you to play the game every day?
What motivates me is the fear I have of not making it to college football. That forces me everyday to put in work to make sure that never ends up happening.
What part of football do you enjoy the most?
The part of football I enjoy the most is the practices and training. First, the practices bring a group of people closely together who maybe without football, might have never known each other. Training, I love, training every day reminds me of why I started and why I shouldn’t stop.
What about football do you find to be challenging?
The part of football I find most challenging is bouncing back after a bad practice or game. I feel like after a bad game or practice, you put all this pressure on yourself to not mess up again that you’ll end up messing up because your head isn’t clear.
What are you looking for the most in a college program?
Something I’m looking for most in a college program is a sense of belonging. Of course, I want to go to a school with a good program but without that belonging, it would be hard to put in everything you have all day to a place where you don’t even fit in.
